TRYING to work out how to dance on Fortnite? We’ve got a quick guide on how to perform various Fortnite emotes in-game.
We’ll also list some details about obtaining new emotes to impress your friends with.
Anyone who has Fortnite Battle Royale can dance without paying any money – it’s a freebie emote.
But most emotes will require payment in the form of Fortnite V-bucks, which are purchased using real-world cash.
You can buy a whole range of emotes, including Dab, Rocket Rodeo, Flapper, Electro Shuffle, and Make It Rain.
You can also earn more emotes by progressing through the Fortnite Battle Pass – but you’ll need to buy that with V-bucks too.
Fortnite Xbox dance and emotes
On Xbox, you simply press the down arrow on your D-Pad to start dancing.
The dances will be randomised, so you never know which dance and/or song you’ll get when you hit it.
If you’ve equipped more emotes in your locker, pressing down will bring up an emote wheel.
Fortnite PS4 dance and emotes
For PS4, it’s exactly the same as Xbox – just press the down arrow on your D-Pad to start dancing.
Like Xbox, the dances are randomised, so you’ll just have to deal with whatever wacky moves your character starts throwing down.
And just like on Xbox, equipping more emotes will bring up an emote wheel with other options too.
Fortnite PC and Mac dance and emotes
For PC and Mac, you need to press the B key on your keyboard.
If you’d rather have a different key activate your boogie, just go into your settings and map the emote to an alternative button.
You can also type /dance into the chat, which works in exactly the same way.
