JACK WILSHERE has made light of his World Cup snub by jokingly agreeing to go to Zante.
The Arsenal midfielder, 26, did not make Gareth Southgate’s squad despite his solid form this season.
And one Twitter user decided to chance his arm – inviting the playmaker to the Greek island with his mates.
Wilshere replied “let me know the dates and I’m in” to prove he is doing his best to get over the disappointment.
At the start of May, the 34-cap Gunners midfielder admitted that – as much as he would like to go – he could not be confident of securing a place.
Wilshere ultimately paid the price for his poor injury record and the news will be particularly hard to swallow after a disappointing season at 6th-placed Arsenal.
